Tiger, I don't know about Georgia, but many states & maybe even our government have programs that allow you to spend pre-tax dollars on health insurance, dental & even day care, which helps out a lot. They take the money directly out of your paycheck & your income is not taxed on this money because it is spent before you get your paycheck. Did you look into this? It is a little like 1099 but not exactly because they still take out income tax, just not nearly as much. Does this kind of program help you?
