I am a 31 year old mother of 4. After my husband lost his job, I applied for Tenncare....Tennessee's version of medicaid (sort of) I was denied. So I went to private insurance and was denied by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Now I sit here, having to rely on insainly overpriced medication over the internet, which who knows how long will be avalible to me, no health insurance and no way to get any.
I know what you are saying....I feel ya....Im living it.
I'm so sorry, Spongemom! My friend Timberland used to live in Tennessee and his brother got Medicaid and didn't have ANY copayments. It's one of the best programs in the nation, except that your choice of doctor is extremely limited and most of them are as bad as regular ones. My question is, why were you turned down? That's so shameful of them, it helped Timber's brother so much it makes me want to cry, seriously. He was on an anti-seizure med (Depakote), a drug for narcolepsy (Adderall), imiprimine and Klonopin to help him sleep. Otherwise he was a violent basketcase, completely incapable of even the simplest things like packing stuff for moving...
