Should the uninsured lay down and die?!

I have better than average health insurance but it is a pale imitation of what it was just a year ago.
It is great that some have health insurance.

But I have a friend that has chronic seizures and if not for the charity ward of a large city hospital, she would be out of luck. Maybe she SHOULD just lay down and die becuase she can not get enough minimum wage hours to buy crappy, expensive health insurance.

Or what about the old people. How many have to choose between eating or medication. So much for THEIR golden years. Of course, they just did not save enough or maybe they just blew their money on RV's or they picked the wrong stocks because the banks pays ___ for interest and they did not know where else to turn and lost their money in one of the stock crashes.

But to those that are believe tough ___ that if a person has no health insurance, then they don't deserve to live if they get a life threatening illness, live in chronic pain or even break a bone or have a bad case of the flu. Remember this-one day YOU or someone you care about will be in the same boat as my firend with no insurance. And the charity wards are now turning people away.

The newest major reason for personal bankruptcy is medical bills.

Maybe National health insurance is flawed but it beats lying in a ditch waiting to die.

Care to respond that I am being to liberal in thinking that EVERYONE has a right to health care.

BTW{ doctors and drug companies amoung others in the medical field charge prices far out of line with what the federal government defines as the 'average wage'. I don't know what the amount is this year but I bet it's not even $10 an hour for a 40 hour work week. So how can someone making say $10-20 and hour afford a service by an average doctor that makes hundreds of thousands a year at the least?

The numbers don't compute. The fact is that health costs continue to outpace the average income by leaps and bounds and until it is brought in line with what an average worker makes, then that person will either have to go without medical treatment until its too late and they wind up in the hospital when maybe a cheap preventative shot of vaccine could have prevented the problem or go broke just trying to get healthy.

Or beleive that it would be better for their loved ones if they just layed down and died.

This country is NOT India or some other third world country and frankly, things can be a lot better.
