I was actually thinking of this one day. If you have a just a few little carpentry skills, what do you think of drilling a large enough hole and deep enough on the top edge of an interior door? Make sure the bottle is stuffed with cotton so the door won't "rattle" when shut. Seems like a good place to hide many types of valuables. (I was burglarized twice.) Luckily, I took my bottles with me to work that day. I don't think the burglar was after meds though. They caught him walking down the street with money and jewelry. He had already hit a couple of houses before he got to mine. I can't believe he what he did first. He actually attempted to break to my house using a utility room attached to my kitchen. There's a door that can be shut, so he could be out of sight I guess. The sheetrock was all ripped off. He did in the vicinity of the stove, so he gave up. There were wires and gas lines in the way. He didn't give up. Stupid me, I left a rear window closed, but forgot to lock it. He climbed on top of the outside A/C unit and simply opened the unlocked window. My house was ransacked. But nothing apparently was taken.
