My 19 daughter and her friend stole my meds once. I told her she owed me the money and I was putting dead bolts on the doors. I told her no more loans, help - don't come to me for anything if she's going to steal from me. Every chance I got I pounded it into her head. I haven't had anything come up missing again, but a safe sounds like a good idea.
