Sorry Drew, but under HIPAA you must file a complaint with the Scy of Health & Human Services, not contact a lawyer.....legal action is taken by the government, NOT the offendee....you file a complaint and it goes up the line from there...and anyway the pharmacy did right by telling the grandaughter they couldn't show her the slip that was signed....that would have been a HIPAA violation....the pharmacy hasn't discussed grandma's condition...only that the grandaughter picked it up....if grandma & grandaughter go in TOGETHER, they can see WHO signed for this & put it to bed....not EVERYTHING has to be letigious...this is NOT lawsuit worthy nor appropriate...HIPAA will allow the appropriate government authority to investigate the complaint & penalize the offending provider end of story....you get nada...the government can get up to $25,000 per offense, provided it's serious enough to warrant such a fine...trust me, this doesn't qualify
