I was reading threw this thread and i just wanted to mention that there is another support group that i found very helpful myself. It's called coda....it's for co-dependent people. If you can find some info on it there is a list of different things that you do in reaction to certian behaviors that show if you are a co-dependent person. It was actually very helpful to me to read about and go to groups. In coda they don't judge you for who you are with or if you stay. They listen if you want to talk and don't make you talk if you don't want to until you feel comfortable. I was really surprised myself when i found how many different things i could relate to. And your past history with an alcoholic makes me think you might be the same. There are different books on the subject that helped me to become a stronger person inside. Hope this helps in some way.
