Coty.... all I can say is that I am so sorry you had to go through something like that. But Jordan is RIGHT. It will never get any better with or without counseling. And most of the time, even with counseling, things still get worse. The progression of violence is something that has been proven time and time again, as she said. This time it's a push, next time it's a broken arm, next time.... let's not go there. You need to get out of this relationship and remember that this man is NOT the only man in the world. There are many others and it sounds to me like this is NOT the man you were meant to be with. You might not like the advice you're getting because, I too, know how hard it is to leave and be on your own. It's hard. REAL hard. But the pros outweigh the cons in this situation. You don't deserve to be treated this way. No one does. Ever. I pray there are no children involved, as they hurt the most in these instances. Take care of yourself... that includes being strong enough to walk away from someone that would willingly hurt you like that and then let you take the blame. He has a problem... until he deals with it, you'll be the punching bag for his "needs" when he steals from you. Coty... the treatment you received is NOT love. Trust me. Trust Jordan and the many others that have expressed their opinions. I haven't read one yet that I disagree with. How can so many people be wrong? You're in my thoughts. ~~Briar |
