Yawkaw is correct!!!! You need to leave like I said earlier. Then may be then you need to just seek conseling for yourself. I would hire a lawyer and it would be at no cost to you and have him look into this case because I believe that there is a family violence law in every state that take the burden off the victim and puts into the Police hands. The state is the one who files the charge not you. No man should ever lay a hand on a female under no circumstances!!!!! Any lawyer would take this case and hold the police accountable. Domestice voilence is a serious problem and should not be consider lightly.
I'm sure this is not the first time and if it is, well be prepared it will not be the last. Please take my advise and leave an don't look back!! He will promise you the moon and turn around and give you a fist. I'm sure there is probabley more to the story than has been given but only you can answer that.
