Re: husband stoled my meds

I am terribly sorry to hear your troubles. I can't imagine what you are going through.

First-you need time away. Most professionals will give you this same advise. You need to evaluate your own situation with your husband, your pain med use and his pain med use.

Second-you need to make ammends. Weather it be today or next week, make a plan of action on HOW this will not happen again. Perhaps an agreement that no matter what, y'all will not borrow each others pain meds. Or to the contrary, know that you love each other more than the pills and be willing to lend them.

Things happen for a reason. Don't be afraid to seek prof. help in a "couples" setting or clergy.

It is certainly inexcusable for your husband to lay a finger on you but narcotics make people do crazy things.

I have no experience or advice other than this to give you. Hang in there and now should be a time for reflection. When my wife gets mad at me, she writes in her journal and then 2 or 3 days later, she reads it to me. WOW. Talk about I didn't know what was going through her head! It helps me understand what she is thinking....because let me tell you....men and women think diffferently

Good luck.
