I read a lot of self-help. This week I have been trying to learn how to "live in the moment". If you are feeling upset or anxious- take a moment to realize what your thoughts are. Chances are that you are either thinking about the past or worrying about the future. They say if you just concentrate on living in the moment, you become a much happier person. Another important thing is to not let yourself run away with negative thoughts. If you have a negative thought, just dismiss it. Don't dwell on it and build on it, because the whole time you are thinking these thoughts, you are making yourself feel bad which causes depression. Everyone has heard the advice to "live in the moment", but we don't actually practice it. Anyway, just my advice on getting to your happy place.
