If you have a question about your package, they usually tell you that someone from the local facility will call you within the hour. The trick is to miss the call, since they leave a number to call them back at. Then store the number in your Palm, write it on your palm, or keep it handy for the next time. That's the ONLY way I've ever gotten a hub number. I used to think the 800 number would answer everything, but the call center is in a different state, so they usually have no information, really, on where your package is.
