Re: do you feel your labled a drug seeker

Well stated!

many, if not most, "pain patient", "anxiety patient" and the list goes on has been offended by a "medical professional" by these types of statements. Most family doctor's do not understand enough about pain patient's issues, so they choose not to deal with it at all.

I persoanlly feel that there are several catagories that patients may fall into: Addiction verus to dependence. If you are addicted you are using a medication or something when it is not medically needed.
Now, "dependent" is completely different. No can depend on something to enable yourself to improve your quality of life. Whether it be medication, a TENS Unit, a cane, cast, even a freind, etc...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone who "SEEKS" what every it may be that improves your quality of life. You point out being labeled a drug seeker, but if you are seeking relief due to a medical condition.

That is why some of these online medical service have been created. I started NetPain.com due to the many people that need an outlet like an OP.
I hope this make sense and at least make one person feel better.
Take Care.
