I AM a legit pain patient. The way I discovered this was by accident.

The doc I had been seeing retired and my isnurance changed so I needed a new one. I went through my new PPO and found a GP accepting new patients and I went.

During my consultation with him, I told him that my old doc had retired and that Ineeded meds filled. I gave him first the names of my blood pressure and cholesterol meds. Then, I told him I had suffered from severe sciatica for many years and that I was taking Ultram on a regular basis with Oxy for breakthrough.

He never blinked and prescribed 240 Ultram (a months' supply going by the "two every six hour" schedule; and then he wrote out an RX for 60 20 gm oxies.

Of course, now I've changed jobs and have to wait three months for the new insurance to kick in.

Anyway, thought I'd pass that one. Also, he never asked to get the old records; though I did give him my MRI report.
