The wait in some places is horrible. I know i my mother-inlaw's city there's a 6 month wait. I am incredibly lucky. . . I missed my consult because I (as always) overslept, but was able to reschedule with/in 2 weeks.

I don't really have much sway over where they live, though. And info is hard to find. If it helps at all, I have located one good website devoted exclusively to RA. I'll be back in a flash to post it.
