I have a story of stolen meds as well, actually my husband's. Anyway, about three years ago, right after my middle child was born, my husband stupidly broke his arm, arm wrestling. His orthopedic surgeon was very liberal with the pain meds, which was good bcause my husband was in alot of pain. So my Mom's old friend, who we hadn't seen in like a year calls up after she heard about my husband and says she wants to see my new baby and offers to babysit for me, blah blah blah. I had no idea she was a major pill addict. So sometime while she and my mother were babysitting for me she managed to steal about 50 Vicodin ES out of about 75. And we know it was her because it came out very shortly that she was addicted. We never said anything to her and she never said anything to us, but after that she bought my son lots of presents. We still see her, just majorly hide the meds. I was so shocked that someone I knew would steal from us. We've never had anything like that happen before. It's a real wake up call.
