Re: HELP! I just screwed up BIGtime!

This situation reminds me of when my husband's son visits us. He's 34 years old, waits tables sometimes and lolls around the house stoned all the time. He knocked himself out searching my home for meds the last time he was here. He knew I'd had cancer and was still being treated for it.
I put myself on alert 8 years ago when he stole my Valium - all of them - that I'd hidden in my sock drawer. No wonder he got all excited when hubby and I had to go out of town for the day.
I actually keep my meds in the attic now, buried in the insulation when he's here. Next time he comes, I'm going to do the ball-bearing trick, but with Aleve in the bottle. That's a good one.
Once, I filled an old Percocet bottle with Ex Lax Pills, with the name scraped off the tablet with a razor blade. Poor Best Kept Off The Board. He was in the bathroom all night........
I also keep some old script bottles (from my doc, with the local pharm's name). I travel with this bottle, with the exact same meds in it. It may be two years old, but the meds match up with the bottle and you're legal.
DO scrape the label off all OP bottles before you disgard them. I'd hate for hubby to find a bottle of hydro from a pharm in Florida in the kitchen trash!
The lowest life forms steal others' meds, so have to keep a step ahead of them.
Lisa, I hope everything works out for you. That was good advice about going to one of those No Med Records, No Refill web sites. They are good for emergencies.
Take care.
Chris
