Maybe I am a newbie at this, but stopping hydro has very little consequence for me. No big deal. Of course I try to wait until the pain is less, but all that happens is that my stomach gurgles around, attempting to flush. I take a Tums and within 4 hours, I am totally fine. From my personal experience, I don't find hydro addictive at all.
