I did have a cousin (much, much older) who was addicted to nasal spray - as in, couldn't breathe out of her nose at all without it. Yuck to that too...I tried the stuff once and hated that "drippy" feeling.
My mom recalls how her mom made all of her kids actually swallow Vicks salve when they were sick - Yuck! My poor Mom...but then, she was raised in the 1930's, and she can remember her Mom being addicted to having her daily glass of Coke at the drugstore. I love drinking Coke NOW...I thought I was "addicted" to drinking it NOW...but I would definitely be for sure, if it was still made with its' "original" recipe...LOL
