I agree with Jordan530 - only because we don't want to see anything bad happen to you. I completely understand your frustration though. If you're on propanolol for HBP, that could be the cause of your weight gain. I don't know very much about BP meds (other than propanolol) but you & your doctor might want to check and see if there's an acceptable alternative that doesn't cause weight gain.

In addition, many doctors put HBP patients on diuretics (most commonly dyazide) in conjunction with BP meds...dyazide can help with weight loss, particularly if its caused by fluid retention. Just make sure to drink at least 64 oz. of water per day.
