I have been on Xanax off and on now for about 3 years. I am currently taking .5 Xanax, by Roche (have had the pink football shape ones always in the past-I think Upjohn, but Roche's are much stronger). They kick butt. I too, have also been on just regular valium, and it didn't really work for me either. I really like the Xanax. Not sure why they say they are addictive. I have never been addicted, but I guess it's different for everyone. My suggestion would be if regualr valum isn't working, go for the xanax.
