I know this sounds ridiculous, but for several months, I have had bouts of 3-6 hours of hot flashes and severe sweating. No, it is not the menopause. It's sickening. It is usually at night, and I wake up damp and sweaty.
I roll to the dry side of the bed, and take off my gown, turn on the fan, and 2 hours - at least - of cooling off.
I feel so utterly drained when it finally stops. Then it starts again!!!

Could it be my blood pressure pills, Toprol and Avapro?
Avapro is over the counter in Canada, and the side effects are nothing like sweating. I am going to the dr. tomorrow, but you all probably know about as much as they know - and are more experienced. Any thoughts? I haven't died over this, but it makes me so miserable.
