Re: Oxycontin/Oxycodone - Who has tried it?

How much does anyone really kmow about the purdue drug study programs. My old Doctor who is very well respected f so or some reason in this community. pobably because is is fighting against the DEA for the rights of pain patients, had me on 5 160mg oxys a day and then started to add oxyir and the 40mgs to the mix. well he raised my tolerance soo high It took me 3 years to get down to 3 80s aday and do doc will prescribe that amount in this area anymore. i found out that he was doing a drug study, the definate proof came when he invited a few of his pain patients to a gathering at his office and there were purdue reps there and did a video tape of how i felt that the drug was working for me and its side effects which supprisingly were almost none except insomia. well i got so upset because I am now almost always in pain. I don't know if I could do anything about it. I sure purdue is almost untouchable, and the drug does work when patients use it properly, but what do can I do now that I can not get the amount of medication I need for the month? I am 28 have had spinal surgeries, and Marfan's syndrom which I will eventually have to have surgery for. If there is anyone in FL out there that knows of a good doc I could use the help. And no the Doc i was seeing did not get in trouble and is still praticing i looked him up on the internet and he has a huge ad!
