Hello everyone, last year I went to Tijuana for a few nights. I had a very bad experience with the police there. I had my prescription bottle from my regular US doctor with pills in it from my US doctor, everything was legit. We were walking back from a bar, back to the hotel when a federal, or whatever they call those #@!$#@, and they patted me down and found my pills, camera, wallet, ect... They proceeded to throw myself and my friends in the car and drive us around TJ, threatening to bring us to the "judge". They yelled at us about how sick they are of Americans crossing the border and illegally buying drugs, ect.. ect... I looked at the guy and said "where do you see me buying any drugs from here, I'm just down here spending money, helping your economy out" (I had the TJ shirt on & the whole nine yards, looked like the total tourist, which is why they probably picked me up in the first place) Well to make a long story short, they ended up taking everything from me including my license, thank god I had my passport back at the hotel room because they asked for it when i crossed the border back into the US. These people do not care about laws and most really dislike Americans. They do not get paid much and will steal from you because they feel that they deserve it. I thought this was all made up and was just in the movies. I thought that the police down there are not crooked and it was all make believe until it happened to me. I'm sure it doesn't happen to alot of people but it happened to me, so i guess what i am saying is be very careful, its crazy down there.
