My issue isn't with the illegal, my issue is with calling them "aliens" - it's a condescending term that has poor conotations.

And trust me, since Bush took office, I've really looked into leaving this country, but it's not as easy as one might think. However, Canada is relatively easy.

The US isn't at the top of the list for lots of things, like education, healthcare, quality of life, etc. Yet we walk around and talk the talk like we are #1. Far from it. Especially considering how we treat "outsiders". It's a real shame. People in the States think they are so much better than the rest of the world. Last I checked, people were people, equal on all levels.
