Depends where you cross Drew. Nueva Laredo is a very bad place to cross. I was almost detained once there myself. Never will I go back there. The policia was playing with me, but I did not think it funny. Brownsville is not too bad. I go in and out with little problems. They have a couple of checkpoints on the us side, mostly looking for illegals, but they will run a dog around your car too sometimes.
