I am new to this board, but I have read many of the posts and I am pleased to find everyone so informative and willing to help. I will be in Mexico for a short getaway in the upcoming months (my girlfriend won some tickets!). I have heard conflicting views about the ability to get OxyContin in Mexico. I have heard many say it is not even available in Mexico since last year. I have heard others say no problem. Can someone give me the lowdown? Is it available? Would it be easy to find a pharmacy near Cancun willing to write a prescription? Would I just walk in and try to explain the pains I am having? Would they want to do an exam, a consultation? Does anyone have a similar experience they could share that might help? I was also concerned that maybe Cancun would not be the easiest place to do this as it is such a tourist attraction, or maybe it would be easier??? Also, I have heard three months supply is ok to bring back with a prescription, but not for schII, one can only bring back 50 quantity, is this correct? This sounds crazy, so what, get the largest dose possible? It has been such a hassle hear at home to manage the pain, I figured since we will be in Mexico anyway, it is worth investigating. I would rather not break any laws, but I am not afraid to push the envelope a little. Many thanks in advance for the great information! |
