I cross at WA state, and after 9/11 I was questioned intensely about guns. I am a woman, and really don't care about guns, and they kept saying "are you sure you don't have any guns?" I just said check anywhere you want. This was heading into Canada.
I also buy the mersyndol without caffeine(when those use to work for me)and I have never declared them. Never had a problem either.
